The House

 

Located at Franqueville-Saint-Pierre, 15 km from Rouen, this house built in 1875 for our family is surrounded with a 800 m² garden. Built with local bricks, this Norman style house can welcome 6 to 8 persons. Wifi is available as well as TV (SFR BOX), with the fiber.

 

Upstaires you will find :

  • Many books on the 1st floor

  • 3 bedrooms with 6 sleeping possibilities

    • Green bedroom : on the right hand side with 2 single beds (90x190 cm)

    • Red Bedroom : in the middle room with 1 double bed (160x200 cm)

    • Blue Bedroom : adjoining the red bedroom with 2 single beds (90x190 cm)

On the front side of the house, on the ground floor, you will find a living room with a 2 persons sofa, a TV, a living/dining room, a fully equipped kitchen. It has a nice of view on the garden and terrace;

2 bathrooms and 2 WC are located on the backside of the house.

  • Our house was built in 1875 at Franqueville-Saint-Pierre. It has been the property of our family ever since;

 

  • Franqueville-Saint-Pierre name comes the merger of 2 towns : Notre Dame de Franqueville and Saint Pierre de Franqueville, in 1970. With 5 600 inhabitants this town is close to Rouen, but with the advantage of being within the countryside;

 

  • In the main street, close to the town hall you will find a small shopping mall with several stores : baker's, butcher, fruits and vegetables, hair dresser, a small-sized supermarket, a post office, etc.

  • River Seine Valley : you will discover

    • The touristic road of abbeys such as Jumièges, Saint-Wandrille, Saint Martin de Boscherville, Le Bes Hélouin ;

    • The natural parc "les boucles de la Seine" and the wildlife reserve of the "Marais vernier" ;

    • From Le Havre to Le Tréport, alongside the "Côte d'Albâtre", you will see the beautiful chalk cliffs and the typical famous shingle beaches.

      • Etretat : beach, cliffs, golf ;

      • Fécamp : old port of departure to Terre-Neuve, with its famous "Palais de la Bénédictine" ;

      • Veules les Roses, 6th town preferred by French people, specialized in cress farming ;

      • Dieppe, seaside resort with beach, casino, golf and thalassotherapy,

    • From Honfleur to Deauville, after crossing the famous Normandy bridge opened in 1995, you will find beaches of fine sands and seaside resorts alongside the so-called "flowered coast" ;

    • Much below towards the Cotentin region, you will visit the "Normandy landings" and the military cemeteries
